Hopefully will be passed this spring at the zoning commission! It's efficacy up to building owners and creating more opportunities for incentives for office to residential and rehab, building reuse!

Great - thank you. This looks like a great location for added housing as long as it's not all ultra-luxury units. And it would be good to encourage street-level retail/restaurant type uses.

My zoning amendment allows housing in existing buildings (office-to-residential conversions) and on open surface parking lots, streamlining development without changing building dimensions. While luxury projects often dominate due to construction costs and financing, removing zoning barriers encourages more diverse housing options—whether mixed-income, & workforce etc.
