As an Architect, I revere Boston City Hall as a Masterpiece. As a citizen, I enjoy the the civic generosity of its service.

It is already a Landmark. It should be designated so by the City which it graces.

Why not relocate City Hall to a more central spot in the city at a more reasonable size based on the number of employees on site? The land under City Hall and its periphery would be an amazing new residential neighborhood.

I think it is a central spot in the City given it proximity to the T lines!

Unfortunately, I think Brutalist architecture is hideous and that City Hall is very ugly. Municipal buildings should have some beauty and gravitas. The brick plaza surrounding it feels like a barren desert, although the recent attempts to utilize it better are good. How much better to have something uplifting, with landscaping, greenery?

The revitalization of city hall plaza includes a new civic building, new trees (which need time to grow), a children's park, and spaces that can be permitted for event uses which I know was an important part of making sure it is lively! If you have thoughts on what types of events should happen at City Hall Plaza, let me know. I personally feel like some of the impacts on the common of permitting could be moved to City Hall Plaza! I understand there's more to do but in the past couple of years there's been so much improvement!

I live in Ed Flynn's district. He will not receive my vote.

Boston City Hall is one-of-a-kind and should be celebrated.

I don't feel comfortable commenting on politics but I don't think polical factors should impact the respect we have for preservation, the work of the landmarks commission on an important and significant building of architectural significance. Thank you for your support in landmarking of City Hall.
